Tony Franklin on bass and backing vocals, everyone. Give him applause too.

A showcase of three incredible talents - David Gilmour, Kate Bush, and that other guy's hairdresser.

Not everybody knows that David Gilmour discovered Kate Bush when she was like 15 years old and promoted her talent and helped to get her career launched. Two legends

I get that people are loving Bush and Gilmour, but that bassist is absolutely murdering it out there.

Kate Bush - Vocals
David Gilmour - Guitar, Vocals
Tony Franklin - Bass, Vocals
Stuart Elliot - Drums
Kevin McAlea - Keyboards

Fun fact, Kevin McAlea wrote the English lyrics to Nena's 99 Luftballons..

You know you’re next level of cool when you have David Gilmour on guitar and backing vocals

Kate doing a live performance is as rare as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter and Pluto lining up together. But to perform live WITH David a heavenly miracle.

Kate looks like she's not so sure about this at the start but by the end she's having a blast. The band is just crushing it! Tony Franklin is the MVP here. You'd swear there were two bass players at times.

There is good rule: if you see on stage with David Gilmour some person you don't know, try to find out who it is. Chances are you'll discover one more legendary musician with hours of good music to listen.

It took me 43 years to discover Kate Bush. I was living under a rock :(.

This is so 80s badass. Gilmour with his long hair, long black coat, and headless Steinberger guitar. Kate shaking her shoulders during the intro knowing that they are going to slay. The fantastic bass. Just perfect 80s.

Love the smiles that Dave and Kate exchange at 3:45 when they know that they're really kicking ass with this version! Mutual admiration.

Let's give it up for the drummer - this song doesn't work without that haunting, relentless beat.

I love this interpretation. The lead guitar replacing the synthesized "violin", the rapid base is frickin awesome, and the male back up vocals is a nice change from the female backups on the track. Of course, Kate Bush absolutely crushes it.

Only David Gilmore could get her to actually perform live instead of lip syncing performances due to her fear of performing live. She was amazing and David's guitar playing was bad ass! He also did backing vocals on pull out the pin from the Dreaming and other things on other albums. Thank you David for finding one of my favorite artist of all time and seeing what kind of talent she has!

The bass player’s hair and playing are both absolutely legendary

This is so good, the bassist makes that version unbelievable

Where has this kind of music gone ?

The fact that this song is back at number one in today's charts gives me some slight hope for the future....
