I keep a small container in my bathroom cabinet rather than dunking in a large bag. Activated charcoal is good for you...so rather than spit it out and making a mess in your sink just swallow it! I just keep water in my mouth and suck the brush until the charcoal us gone, plus it will also freshen your breath. Keep your lips together while brushing and you won't get it all over the outside of your mouth either. The slight traces of charcoal around the gum line will be gone by morning. I just wish it lightened tetracycline staining! I don't celebrate Halloween but I have often thought what a great scare you could impart on your guests with a little glycerin added to make it hold better!

As long as you spit it out and don't swallow, that would actually be a good thing. People do oil pulling to do the same thing, and then they just spit out the oil afterwards.

OH! I forgot! It's a good idea to add trace mineral drops, too. Especially if you drink Reverse Osmosis water like we do. RO water is great if you're trying to filter out junk like chlorine and fluoride, but it's not ideal for long-term consumption because it filters out minerals. You can add trace mineral drops to the water, too. :o)

I do the charcoal about once every two weeks. Usually when I have a plan to go on a date or be on TV, but it is not apart of my regular routine.

It's actually super easy! 2T organic coconut oil, 2T baking soda, 2-3 T xylitol (for sweetness) and peppermint oil to taste. :o)
