The one theory that's my personal favorite is where I heard that makes sense is that Dipper Mabel Uncle Stan Wendy and everyone in the entire town of Gravity Falls is stuck in a eternal purgatory which explains the supernatural events going on in the show and the three journals are the cause of said events meanwhile Bill Cypher is always watching these events go down poking fun of how in his perspective the human race can easily be controlled under his power

So I have a theory:
So personally I don't think there is going to be another season of Gravity Falls, but maybe it will show up in another show, what if they show up in Owl house? OK, I know its pretty weird, but the thing is, king is a demon, he is voiced by Alex Hirsch who also voiced Bill Cypher.. what if either...
A- Bill Cypher is in a new form, we know that he could shapeshift.
Or
B-Bill Cypher took over King's body at sometime that no one noticed... Idk, these are just my personal thoughts.
