When you think about it Mabel's plan was not as crazy as it sounds. Make dodos make out...you get more Dodos. Dodo's are extinct. So, Mabel was wanting to save Dodos by making more Dodos so that we would still have Dodos to this day.

This one actually makes sense given the general rules Disney had with showing stuff that could/couldn't be imitated. In the same way that Stan can commit tax fraud but always wears a seatbelt, certain things are okay to be shown because they can't feasibly be imitated by children. So in this case, kids can definitely get together and kiss each other, but they can't force two extinct birds to do the same

Okay but like how are we shocked about this when alex had shit like the bleeding animal heads in northwest manor, the murder of Pacifica in the golf episode, and bill reorganizing the holes in pacificas dads face. Also bill straight up threatening to murder the twelve year old protagonists in the finale. I’m just saying gravity falls got a shit ton through the censors, I honestly think s&p only caught a small percentage of the inappropriate stuff in gravity falls.
