That’s the best Fuji cardio workout I’ve seen to date...

Great comparison! In my experience, 35mmF2 has noticeable focus breathing unlike 23mmF2. Both lenses look similar but I think there's a huge difference between them for video purpose.

Unfortunately the 35, mm f2 has a lot of focus breathing and it hunts the focus in video modus.

Nice test by the way!

The video quality of all the lenses looked really good IMO. The first gen F 1.X lens are rough for AF though. Hoping for a Mk2 so I can buy them for video!

Thanks for your help. I own the 23mm f1.4 and the autofocus just sucks. Idk why so many people say it's fast...it's not. It fails focusing my face on video with my xt4. Anyone else facing this issue? I can't decide betwenn the 18-55mm kit or the 23mm f2.

I got the 16mm f2.8 and absolutely hate the focus breathing during videos. I'm definitely returning it. I'm debating if I should do the 16mm f1.4, 18-55, or 23mm f2.

I would like a lens that isn't too big and heavy, but I will be taking the lens outdoors during all four seasons. I do the most video and photography during the winter, especially during snow showers.

I am looking to go with a wide lens because it'll be a lot of vlog style videos. I do regret getting the 16-80mm kit lens with my fuji instead of the 18-55m, but it is a nice photography lens.

For those close ups I also have the 50-140m and it's one of my absolute favorites to take when I go hiking. Really superb lens.

I've been pretty happy with Fuji autofocus. But the 35mm f2 (at least my copy) has pretty bad focus breathing.

Lol!! 56mm 1.2 had no clue what was going on 😄😄😄😄. Thanks for this video mate, I am transitioning from Sony to fujifilm and i am really confused about lenses. I purchased fuji x-t3, my main focus is videography and i also do street photography and occasional portrait photoshoots. I really don't like carrying more than 2 lenses, what would be your recommendation for those 2 lenses?

in fact 56mm is one of the best glasses in industry problem is focus motor is archaic it is for photography only for sure but when it caches the subject it just dreams it out!

Nice comparison video Desy thank you. Can you please share your thoughts about which is the best low-light (Night) video lens to use with the Fujifilm X-S10 camera, l looking forward to hearing from you please thank you.

I think the 56 1.2 got so far out of focus the camera didn't see anything 😂 - I had that happened a few times. But yeah, I wouldn't trust it for video. However, if you setup the shot and the subject wasn't move too extreme like you were, I think the 56 would track well enough for typical movements if say doing like an interview or something. I never found the 56 autofocus to be that bad, its just sometimes you kind of of have to help it along. Great video man, that 18 f2 surprised me! People said its as slow as the 35 1.4, but I think its fairly quick!

Great video, and I will consider these lenses, but one simple question: which prime lens do I need apart from the kit 18-55 f2.8-4 (which I own) for video? think low light video capture of forests, inside buildings, 6-10 foot interviews in dim light, many thanks!
