Based on Elmore Leonard’s novella “Fire in the Hole,” Justified was developed by Graham Yost and stars Timothy Olyphant as Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens, a lawman who finds himself drawn back to his home state of Kentucky. In Justified’s final season, the long brimming conflict between Raylan and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) will finally come to a head. The series co-stars Walton Goggins as ‘Boyd Crowder;’ Nick Searcy as ‘Chief Deputy Art Mullen;’ Jacob Pitts as ‘Deputy Marshal Tim Gutterson;’ Erica Tazel as ‘Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks;’ Joelle Carter as ‘Ava Crowder;’ and Jere Burns as ‘Wynn Duffy.’ Yost wrote the pilot and serves as Executive Producer/Writer on the series. Executive Producers on the series include Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, Michael Dinner, Fred Golan, Dave Andron, Don Kurt, Taylor Elmore, Timothy Olyphant, and the late Elmore Leonard. I like that Rayland misdirects the hitman's mind for a minute with the discussion about the ring. It puts him in a position to be ready when he already suspects he is going to have to have a fire fight. Well played!!

This may be the most definitive Raylan scene in the whole series. It’s got his chill demeanor, his humor in the face of absurdity, and of course, his complete badassery.

I think they meant us to know that Raylan knew what was up at 0:17 when the hitman gave no straight answers but talked back like a rude youngster.

I'm pretty sure an apparent sheriff's deputy, without any prior escalation, saying something like, "If you don't move, I'm going to shoot you" is a dead giveaway that he's not really a sheriff's deputy.

Watching this scene on YouTube led me to binge watching the six seasons- and loved every minute! Really great show!

Walter Goggins is a really great actor! I never thought he'd top Shane from "The Shield", but he's just kept turning out great work every day before and since! He's even a terrific voice actor! A hero is only as good as his villains and I always appreciate a layered villain!

Raylan’s instincts are top notch. Even with Boyd in handcuffs, you see where his shooting hand stays whenever he feels something is off lol
