Dating is only gonna help you get over them if you are able to date high value people. After a break up a 6 years ago I started talking to and going out with women who were readily available. None of them were anything close to the quality of woman I had just lost. It didn’t help much at all. Made me feel terrible.
Although it did cause the ex to come running back so it wasn’t a total loss. Been back with her ever since.

Brad, I made a mistake. I had completed the no contact period. My Ex reached out to me, and we started talking. We talked for 21 days. A point came when he got a mood swing, and stopped talking to me. Removed me on instagram, too. Instead of staying calm, I got furious and blasted at him. Called him selfish for abandoning me in the past, and brought up the past incidents. Eventually, we had a fight, and he said he doesn't want to talk anymore. What must I do? Start the No-contact period all over again?

My ex is still trash talking me/resentful toward me since 2 months of limited contact since I work with her. Hey Brad! My ex broke up with me almost five months ago due to her suffering from severe depression. We had an amazing five-month relationship and had no issues/arguments at all during that time, however she started acting very cold to me after the breakup. I’ve been in no-contact for over three months now (since returning her belongings) and was wondering if you’ve seen any similar situations like this before. Me and my ex have chatted off and on since we broke up in September. There were never any hard feelings. I'll admit that I have broken the No Contact Rule a few times after not messaging her for weeks and months but our chats have always been pleasant. I do really care about her and I'm torn between wanting her back and moving on. With my luck (which happens a lot) she'll probably contact me out of the blue to try and reconciliate when I have already moved on. I've never disrespected her and mistreated her whatsoever but she was going thru problems that hindered her affection towards me.
