This registry setting controls the Prefetcher feature in Windows, which helps speed up the loading of frequently used applications. Setting it to "0" disables Prefetching, potentially slowing down application loading times, but it might be useful in certain situations for troubleshooting or performance tuning.

Boosting fps / fixing stutters requires a series of tunings and it's specific to your hardware and usage patterns. One tweak that works for you may bring worse results to the other users. Stutters are caused by many factors such as disk buffering (which can be fixed using ram caching/ disk caching, hog processes and more. Disabling superfectch/prefetch has nothing to do with fps boost. I wish I can get time to explain this in the future. Follow me If you hate this message lol.

First create a system restore point, so if anything goes wrong, you can restore back. (if you don't know how search it up). You should ALWAYS back up your registry, or create a system restore point, or both when modifying the registry

You should mention that this is only useful if you have a SSD / & or lots of RAM. If not then it will affect performance & should be left enabled.

Ah yes, let's disable prefetch. That'll get us an extra 1 FPS... Please don't do this if you run your games on an HDD. Only an SSD or an M.2...

i think it disables the system from using prefetch memory/folder to store data..which can become overcrowded most of the time if it's goes un managed

literally whats the point in doing a system restore point if you can change the value back to 3

Registry tweaks do jackshit (0-0.5 fps increase + unstable OS). Common sense : System OS optimization 10-20% performance increase, 80% is from overclocking (GPU, CPU, RAM)

Bro i have a Intel i3 processor with Intel HD 4400 graphics, 12 Gb Ram, SSD ....should i do this settings to get more fps in valorant ???
I m getting around 45-50 fps rn in game ...and what will be the fps i will get after changing this settings ?

for people how have low end pc or laptop get atlas os its the best os for gaming it optimizes ur pc/laptop so ur games can way smoother then before

Don't tweak your registry at all to increase your fps, that's dumb. Get a job, save up money and build your own custom PC with a good Graphics card and CPU.
