Windows is More Secure than Linux
I recently ran into a Softpedia and TechRadar article making this claim or pointing out that Debian Linux had more vulnerabilities than Windows. It's time to review the article and give you the facts...

In all fairness, once Windows quits booting, it's ultra secure.

Statistics and lies!!!

They just separated Windows out completely in the 2019 list, there are 8 Windows OS flavors and 2 Adobe Windows products with 2970 vulnerabilities and only 3 Linux flavors with 734 vulnerabilities. I don't count Android, since that is a notorious Google mess-up.

I like how graph includes debian linux from 1999 (version 2.1) to 2019 (version 10) and it has less bugs combined in whole system than 3 versions of windows :D

Windows is more secure, if you remove it and put your favorite distro on it xD

Yes, windows is more secure than linux. That's why they keep on pushing security updates every second or third day, that just fucks up the whole system performance.
Yes. VERY SECURE. If you get that🤗

Would be interesting to know how many of these vulnerabilities have been resolved for each item listed. I think that would really show which one is more secure.

On CVE Details website, since 1999 the Linux kernal has 2357 vulnerabilities listed.
Microsoft has 6814 listed vulnerabilities since 1999.
Now the question is how many of these vulnerabilities were found before and after they were exploited?

Its too bad most people who read that article wont have someone who actually knows better to set them straight.

The articles have the smell of being paid for by Microsoft all over them.
