Russia-Ukraine war: Putin greenlights letting volunteers fight

Russian President Vladimir Putin has backed plans to allow foreign volunteer fighters into Eastern Ukraine.
The Kremlin says its already received more than 16,000 applications from people in Middle Eastern countries.

Noone mentions this but it was actually Israel that introduced the idea of foreign fighters coming to Ukraine by contacting the Israeli embassy. If you want to thank someone for starting the international fighter arena in Ukraine thank Israel.

It makes no difference. The amount of troops can be millions, if the logistics are non existent it means absolutely nothing. Great, you have 50, 000 more people that you have to feed and provide ammo and fuel for. It would be more a hindrance.

People are so lazy and dumb, saying that Putin is desperate asking for help of foreign volunteers or mercenaries. They're not volunteers, they're trained Syrian soldiers, sent by Putin's friend Bashar al-Assad, Syria's President, most probably in an act of reciprocity after Putin sending Russian air force warplanes to strike Syrian rebels back in 2015, and as a matter of fact, the Russian warplanes are stationed indefenitily in Syria until today. Putin and Bashar al-Assad are allies, as Belarus' President Lukashenko as well. They use the word "volunteers" to avoid media to call it a "Russian-Syrian joint invasion to Ukraine". Putin is not desperate, he's just gathering his allies to show them to the world, and he has plenty, including China.
