You have convinced me more so that I should get one. I live alone, work from home and don’t need a guard dog, just a buddy.

He is very accurate about the breed. We have owned two, and he nailed their demeanor and style perfectly. A heart of GOLD certainly describes our two Cavs!

My cavalier will be a lap dog all day or a wild dog all day... he does whatever I’m doing, however he gets the zummies often at night when I’m calm. I take him to state parks and he will pull me the entire 10 miles. The gentle leader collar helped with pulling, however he is extremely active. I wouldnt have any other dog breed! He is the sweetest, silkiest, and most beautiful dog ever!

#1. They are addictive. Also, they are the most awesome dog for writers or anyone working from home! (Tri-colors rock!)

I've had 3 cavs. They were the most wonderful fur babies I've ever had. They are far more loveable than humans.

My childhood dog was a tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Choco. He was the kindest mannered and most affectionate dog I've ever encountered. Everyone who met him loved him, and he loved everyone he met . Like a lot of dog breeds however King Charles Spaniels have a litany of health issues that they are prone to. By age three he was deaf, by age four he had a heart murmur which only got worse, by age five we had to put drops in his eyes every day otherwise he would have gone blind. By age nine he had Cushings disease, back issues and many others. We cared for Choco as best as we could and always took him to the vet when we thought something was wrong and gave him the medicine they prescribed. He had an exceptional quality of life given his various ailments. In the end he died at 10 years old which is actually quite a good age for his breed. I love Choco and always will. I would however encourage people considering this breed to think about getting a mutt. They are far longer lived and will suffer less genetic issues that affect their quality of life. Rest in peace Choco.

My grandparents are retired and have a cavalier King Charles and she’s perfect for them, she loves to keep them company, not too active, and is overall such a sweetheart, right at home in their medium house/small yard.

When my Girls were little, we hiked in the trails, ran on the beach and Maggie would go nuts for the ball. We went on some really long hikes. I didn't do it every day but they were really fun! Once they were about 7 or 8, they slowed down and of course at ten, they slept a lot and went on shorter walks until there health issues (heart murmer) and then hardly make it down the street. I Loved these dogs so much and I want

I love mine and I’m the pickiest person on earth. Despite this video I recommend a Cavalier to anyone who prefers small dogs.

My Cavalier Prince Jack is the best dog I have ever owned. He has had some common medical issues (luxating patella) and a few bad teeth but we have worked through those issues. He is a loving gentle soul who wants to please. Great with other dogs and loves attention from children.

Always had larger breed dogs. After waiting a while after one of mine passed my wife and I saw a rescue from a puppy mill. We made the decision to adopt her and my god. Never have I had such a devoted dog. I’m besotted. I’m her person and she adores me and our staffy. She’s super affectionate and she’s so beautiful. We have occasional accidents in the house due to her being caged but we’re slowly getting there. If it suits your lifestyle as Will says, they are just perfect.

Cavaliers are so cute and sweet! They are always by your side, and when you are sad they always comfort you! Great breed!
