The people who say "separate the art from the artist" and "keep professional life and personal life separate" don't seem to understand. Imagine if you found out your favorite work mate was beating his kids or his wife when he goes home, would you just shrug it off and say "well, that's his personal life"? When you support someone's art, you are in turn supporting that artist. The money your audience endows them with helps them avoid the consequences of their actions. Your support of their art IS the support of their personal life.

Adele and her (now ex) girlfriend met when she was a minor and Celine was an adult (28) in 2007. Furthermore, Celine was the director and producer of that film (Water Lillies), while Adele, a minor, was starring in it.

How would herself react if an adult male director starts dating an actress under his direction that happens to be a minor ???

Of course is digusting what Polanski did but I find also macabre the fact that, even to this day, people still use Samantha Geimer's victimhood as a flag for their cause and re-victimizing in every protest, even the host went graphic on her body, and Geimer has said many times that she doesn't want the exposure anymore, that's she's been defined as a victim all her life instead of her as a woman, the people who advocate for justice are not even listening to the very victims of crime.... that's revolting as well
