H1MIN: SAS RAID ON SIDI HANEISH

The raid on the German airfield at Sidi Haneish resulted the destruction of 30+ Luftwaffe planes during the North African Campaign of WWII. Lead by David Stirling, the raid's success by 'L' Detachment convinced British command of the commando group's strategic value and ultimately created the Special Air Service (SAS) of today.
