Years ago I lived on the top floor of a house thst had been converted into 3 apartments. I had a cat and the woman on the main floor had a dog. The elderly man in the basement had no pets, but every morning he'd come and get my cat and her dog, and take them for a walk. After their walk, he'd take them down to his apartment, where he'd give them water and treats, then they'd have a nap together on a blanket that he put in front of his electric fireplace for them. He wasn't much of a people person, but he loved animals, and had lost his last dog a few years before I moved in there. Spending the morning with our pets was the highlight of his day, and, of course, they both loved it. ❤❤

That’s how I met a neighbor, who became a good friend, many years ago. Her cat always came along when I was walking my 2 dogs. Neighbor and all animals are long gone now, but it’s a wonderful memory. 🥰

I walked my cats and they walk with me. They love the company. Talking the whole time. A dirt
trail into a field near my house was a favorite of my black cat Wilson. Meowing the whole time. He loved that trail. When he died I had a trail rock imprinted with “Wilson’s trail. You are still loved.”

Those two knew each other in another life. It is so unusual for a cat just to start a relationship with a dog from 5 doors down. It's heartwarming to see them together. ❤

I knew a cat named Rocket that would go for walks with his doggo every time. It was so sweet. EDIT: come to think of it, Rocket was also gray and white. 😸
