A feral black cat that has lived outside my business for 2 years just decided to walk into my business one day . I didn't do anything just let him smell around and kept working. After a few minutes he walked out again. The next day he walked in and did the same thing as I worked. I didn't see him leave and kept working not thinking about it. I went to go home and just looked around before I left and spotted him on a shelf sound asleep. I closed the door and he lifted his head to see and then decided to go back to sleep. So I went out and got cat supplies and came back he came and greeted me at the door and didn't run away . I put food water and litterbox down and went home. He's been with me 1 1/2 years now. Out of all the people he could have picked he picked me to be his caretaker. What also amazes me is he has never clawed me hissed at me or damaged anything at my business . Ever . His name is Axl and he is my best friend

After my girlfriend died of cancer, I moved to a house in a different town. One day I was outside and in the yard and a cat was meowing to me on the back wall. The cat was very skinny and obviously hungry. I was not sure what to do at first. Then, looking at the cat, I walked over and picked the cat up. I had a can of tuna in the house and fed the cat. She has been with me over 5 years now. This felt so mysterious to me the way it happened that I named the cat after my girlfriend, Nina.

Twenty years ago, a stray white kitten came to my house. I chased it away, several times. Each time it returned, meowing insistently, as if asking for permission to stay. And stay she did, for 17 years. She brought joy and happiness until she passed away 3 years ago. I miss her a lot.

I suddenly became homeless, hopeless in January. Sitting in the dirt behind an empty house, I found myself surrounded by neighborhood strays. It got cold - in the 30s - so I built a small shelter for "us". Then a few days of rain came so I got tarps and built a small rain shelter to keep "them" warm and dry. Looking back now, if it werent for the strays, I would have just sat there - in the dirt - in the cold - in the rain - and.... passed away. Now I have a small home. I return to that neighborhood to "save the strays" but they've all gone but for 3. Only one young female came to me. She lives with me now. They saved me, after all. It's the least I can do - save them....
