There's so many people that want to start a YouTube channel that are looking for anything that positively reinforces their idea of starting a channel. Your previous videos title did exactly that. It positively reinforced the idea of someone starting a channel while also negating the need for a massive amount of subscribers! Hi Ben, I just started a small Youtube channel aswell and I can totally relate when it comes to putting pressure on yourself. I think concentrating on the community more than on the subscriber count is really the way to go because it gives you joy instead of feeling upset that you don't have a certain subscriber count yet. I love your content and your personality. Keep going. You are doing an amazing job. 🥰

This i needed to hear Ben... i have been struggling with my YouTube journey for few weeks now and the videos about views and tactics just overwhelmed me.. i stopped watching. few days now decided to quiet my mind and listen to my gut.. exactly what you say.. building community!! ✨ give value to people, make them feel comfortable watching and appreciate every single person.
in this mad paced world we as individuals seem to matter less and less... everyone wants to feel they are important, to belong..

I started watching because you had a Meteor 350, as I do too here in the UK. But you seem to be heading towards being a lifestyle channel, which is great. NZ is beautiful, so it'll be great to learn more about it. I did visit for a short 2 weeks back in the early 90s and loved it, especially the friendly people.

Thanks Ben, I can definitely relate to the feeling of being too hard on yourself. I have to slow down and I have been doing that. I'm a small channel in an oversaturated niche. I have not found my audience yet but I believe in the power of community. I really like where you're going with this. What I would like to see is how to make do with what you got and how to use them to the best of their capabilities. My retention goes way down too quickly when I slow down & my channel loses momentum. I'm so glad you're back and focused. Your studio looks great and I'm happy your children got a bigger bedroom! I haven't filmed outside of my own home/land and maybe we could do an Introverts Film In Public Day - where we all try to go out in the world and post those videos.I think that is a genuine hurdle for content creators just starting out! I know it is for me. Love seeing how you are figuring out what you want to do with your channel.

Your viral video awhile back may have made me click but your genuine nature is what earned a subscribe.
