Midjourney only had the beta SD mode up for about 1 day before taking it down to work on it more, but it was definitely amazing compared to the current v3.

The reason you kept getting the same lemon 🍋 for the google colab is because you set the seed to 0. If you want to randomize the seed to give you different images set it to a negative number. Preferably (-1)

The Google Collab is not "completely free". I'd been playing with it for an hour when it suddenly stopped working. It turns out that its use of GPU has a free trial, and once you run out of usage, you won't be able to use it again until you pay a subscription.

Thanks this was cool information. I cut the steps in the colab down to 50 and was able to render out three images in 2 minutes. It's fun to watch the AI think and render the images out. Then after a few hours as I have a fairly decent gpu I tried the other method with the program. Ok so wow that worked great my render times for 512by512 at 50 steps are like 10 seconds. So that will be my default method and thank you for all this.

If you want to run stable diffusion on your own pc for cheap try and get a nvidia tesla k80, it has 24gb v ram and costs like 300usd
