Tom was a real legend staying strong until the end and even comforting his wife when things were looking gruesome.

"It's going to be okay. Whatever happens to us, we'll be together." This line is so heartbreaking. 😢

In all these stories what always screams in my head is what my 1st sgt taught me like 15 years ago. One of the first things he said to me was situational awareness will save your life; if you ever get that “feeling” no matter where you are or what your doing. Always trust your intuition.

Truly one of the most upsetting ends of any Ballen story Ive heard. Justice would be handcuffing Jennifer, John and Skyler together on a boat and attaching an anchor to them and let them go through all the same emotions that poor couple went through and send them into the abyss. Pure evil.

The horror those poor people experienced is unfathomable. This is a stark reminder of the evil that lives among us. Always trust your gut instincts, and be aware of your surroundings.

One of the saddest parts is how Tom ALMOST saved himself and his wife by listening to his gut instinct. Which is why Skylars wife should have gotten the death penalty as well. She planned the whole thing, yet she's still sitting in a warm environment, getting fed three meals a day. She will eventually adjust to her life in prison and even still have moments of happiness. While her victims are chained and rotting in the deep, dark, cold depths of the ocean. Where is the justice in that?

Sad thing is, Tom's initial gut feeling was that these guys were bad news. Always stick with your initial gut feeling, even if your gut changes its mind.

This story is why it is so desperately important for us all to trust our intuition. When Tom saw the three men his intuition told him no but he, ultimately, went against it and things ended tragically.

there’s something about this story which is especially harrowing for me. The thought of this loving couple tied up and blindfolded- not exactly knowing what to expect. But suddenly hearing a chain and hearing an anchor going overboard.. and fighting against the weight of the anchor KNOWING it’s a losing battle. And ultimately being pulled into the deepest depths of the ocean and drowning. This is a next level depravity. The evil in this world is terrifying.

"As of November 2021, Tom & Jackie Hawks' bodies have still not been found."
That made me tear up a bit, such innocent people excited to be with their family were murdered with no remorse.
May their souls rest in paradise and may their families find peace.

The idea of Tom and Jackie hitting the water and being aware of the fact that they can't stop just terrifying and heartbreaking.

Never ever go against your gut feeling if your feeling something is off don't follow through with it.

Could you imagine that baby girl growing up and discovering that her parents used her as a tool in a murder?

I started tearing up when he said Tom was seen rubbing Jackie’s arm while comforting her telling her “it’s going to be okay, whatever happens we’ll be together.” that is so devastating but in the same sense, comforting to know your last moments will be with the person you truly love.

I was just thinking the other day: “I wonder what that kid from scene 9 of episode 59 of the Power Rangers was up to”

I thought "Skylar" from Breaking Bad was the only Skylar I'd ever hate... 🤔 😂 21:41

I’m not a paranoid person but stories like these really make me a firm believer of always listening to your gut feelings. To think they used their own Baby to create a false sense of security for these people is just sick. May they Rest In Peace.

I sold a laptop on facebook a while back. The first guy that wanted it showed up and didn't look anything like his profile picture. He also showed up with two other guys. I didn't have a good feeling about it. I spoke to him through my doorbell camera and told him I got a better price and sold it to someone else. He tried to bargain at first and then got really angry and aggressive when he realized I wasn't going to open the door. I reminded him that I had all their faces on camera and had cameras all around the house. They left, and I never saw them again, thankfully. I sold the computer later, but I met the next person in a public coffee shop. Didn't give my address ever again. Maybe my gut was wrong. I'll never know for sure. I'd rather offend someone and be wrong than have something bad happen being polite

This story, the one of the mom and the daughters with a similar fate, and the elderly couple buried alive by a woman that used to be a family friend are the stories that will never leave me. Unreal the level of evilness that humans are capable of.

I just found this channel and after a couple of episodes I want to watch the rest. You’re a great storyteller, a clear speaker, and the editing is smooth with no annoying repetition of what we’ve just been shown or annoying background music. Well done. These stories are haunting but victims’ stories deserve to be heard and it makes us a little more vigilant.
