I can't tell you how pissed off I get when someone says "just go to sleep when you get sleepy" WTF am I the only one who has tried this multiple times and I have literally been awake for over 72 hours before falling asleep (this has happened multiple times!!!!) just to see if it works 🤬 then I get so run down I get sick. Insomniac since early teens am now 59 years old !!!

I had insomnia for years
I am in Africa and started to drink tamarind..natural tamarind juice..I noticed I was very sleep and slept right through the night..I looked up the benefits of tamarind because not only is it delicious, it's also refreshing cold..guess what?
One of the benefits is that it aids sleep..

I don't remember what it feels like to go to bed, and fall asleep. I look tired, drained, uglier than usual and so sad and sick.

I miss dreaming 8 to 9 hours a night without major problems. The last 2 nights where especially rough.

I have slept with a pillow over my head for as long as I can remember. And for the past few years, I have used a weighted blanket. My husband refers to the blanket as “your boyfriend” because I won’t go to bed without that blanket 🤣

It's absurd how comforting certain old audiobooks can help me sleep.

For YEARS my go has been the David Carradine narrated version of Jack Kerouac's On the Road. For one it's one of my favorite books ever, it's endlessly re-listenable and David (RIP) read it brilliantly. Its an amazing audiobook to fall asleep to.

Relaxation is the key to sleeping. Nothing special is needed to sleep just go to bed when you’re actually sleepy not at a certain time.

I see everyone talking about how “it’s 3am I’m jealous of people” and “ I take 2 hours to sleep” bro it’s almost 9 am I’ve been in bed since 10:30. Off of my phone for like 90% of time too

I have periodic sleep issues so I totally feel you. After a while, the sleep ritual that used to work fails and i just move on!

You need to identify the root cause of the problem. I could fix my insomnia in 1 week.

What u have to do is this:
Don't use your phone for 1 week. Just use it for important messages.

Meditate 🧘‍♂️ once a day. Set an alarm for 10 minutes. Close your eyes. And just breathe in and breathe out through your nose.

Doing those two things you will stop the stream of thought distracting you front the present moment.

Hi I am really going crazy with my insomnia first I would wake up at 3 am and not being able to fall asleep again now I can’t fall asleep at all is been a few days I can’t sleep not even 1 hour . Honestly I am sick of this situation I don’t wish this to anyone.
