I bought an Air a couple of months ago, mostly for the pencil to mark up schematics. I was kicking myself when I saw the new iPad announcement. Then saw it only support gen 1, so i made the right decision on the Air. That entire rollercoasters of emotions makes me think that was intentional to make people still buy the Air.

You can also not get the Pencil & just get the Logitech Crayon which has a USB C charging port so you can charge it up directly from the iPad

I suspect they have a lot of first gen Apple pencils in stock (they didn't sell as well as they hoped when they debuted) and now they're trying very hard to sell as many of them as possible by making them the only pencils compatible with their entry level ipad.

I’m pretty sure this iPad is the reason why Apples chief industrial designer resigned last week. This iPad is possibly the worst Apple product that’s been released in the last 20 years.

I wouldn't mind getting the new ipad if I wasn't looking to get a new camera this winter because I've been waiting for the redesign. However the one thing that keeps annoying me with ALL ipads is the bezels. I feel they could pull them back to the camera at least

Haven't gotten a new iPad in over ten years, I think, so any current iPad is tempting. If only the Pro had the camera in landscape mode, or the non-Pro handled the Pencil thing better. Both would be minor gripes, but when these things are that pricey, any little thing makes me hesitant.

I would not recommend the 10th gen or air to any one. I would recommend the 9th gen if someone wants a basic iPad or the pro if they have the money for it.

I have iPad Pro 9.7 inch from 2017 and it’s awesome. Never had any issues regarding simple tasks, has 4 speakers, Apple Pencil support and can charge it right from lightning port. Display also awesome.
My suggestion will be to go with iPad Air. Reasonably Best.

Honestly the 10th should have been priced at $349 because it just makes the m1 air a better buy for what you get even though 256gb option is pricy you can get a good 6-7 years out of it

I ordered the iPad 10th Gen (256GB) with its matching Smart Folio. That's it. I like the position of the front camera and that it has Centre Stage. And certainly the overall tech is superior to my current model.
I am replacing an iPad Pro 2018-9 as it is not updating to iOS 16, I don't like its magnetic pencil, and the super heavy magic keyboard. They all looked beautiful together, but it was almost as carrying a MacBook Pro. Not getting much for their sale but it certainly helps to cover for some of the cost of the new iPad.

I bought the 9th gen last year when they released it for my 2 year old son. No reason for me to upgrade to the 10th gen.

I’m excited to get the iPad Pro. This year enticed me to finally get one.
