You guys are not speaking from the perspective of new users or users who haven’t purchased iPads in years.
All the news are so pessimistic. The last time I owned an iPad was 2014. So heck yeah I’m going to get this.

If iPad Pencil Hover is the most interesting new feature, then we've officially arrived at End-Stage Appleism

I just got mine two days ago and I absolutely love it. Granted it is my first iPad Pro.

As a digital artist, the hover feature is a game changer. Will be upgrading just for that

I upgraded my old iPad Pro 3rd Generation for the M2 iPad Pro version, and I noticed a big difference and I'm glad I decided to upgrade

Honestly, I had the iPad pro 2018 12.9" that I bought secondhand, and it served me for years as a student, and it was GREAT!
Three weeks ago, I 'upgraded' it to iPad pro 11" m1, because I'm no longer a student. I don't need a bigger iPad, but I still want an iPad for daily use. Honestly, I can't feel any difference in performance between the 2018 pro and the m1 pro.

It's no brainer that people with M1 don't need to upgrade to this M2 ipad. But it's a decent upgrade for anyone with ipads before M1.

I look at it this way: If you don’t have but can use an iPad Pro, by all means get one! But, if you have a 2018 or later version already, it’s probably not worth the upgrade unless you really need that thunderbolt port or the extra speed.

Thanks to your video I just bought an M1 IPad Pro, saving 500€! You’re doing a great job, Daniel

I don’t get why reviewers are saying M2 is not a big upgrade. If someone has an old iPad it’s a huge upgrade. Also Moore’s Law is a thing

What's also noteworthy: The stage manager only works on the M-Chips and they probably will be supplied with software updates longer than the 2020 or 2018 models (although the A12Z is a very strong chip)

Totally agree. I needed to upgrade my iPad for a while now and was waiting on the new 10th gen, but seeing its spec and price thought I’d just get the 9th gen. Then I checked the refurbished models and ended up buying a 2020 iPad Pro 11” for £469.

The big feature that made me upgrade from the 2020 model to the newer model is 5G for those of us using a cell data version. As internet is spotty in certain places I go for work, 5G really shines over LTE. If I had some way to have internet through a sim card, I'd carry my Macbook Pro regularly. iPad Pro with data is just more versatile for places where you don't have wifi.

Got myself the refurbed 11" iPad Pro (2021) two weeks ago. Now I can comfortably wait for the next iteration with a "now it makes sense to upgrade" feature. Not even sure if I'd upgrade for "just a mini LED / OLED" display. There needs to be more than these tiny-features to warrant an iteration.

The M2 IPad Pro is awesome and the new media engine is going to be great for people who only use the iPad Pro as their main or only computing device. I’m upgrading fro the M1 IPad Pro. I would recommend people not buy the old iPad Pro lol. I make a very good living using the IPad Pro only and all the new upgrades are going to make the IPad Pro even better.

Honestly i wouldve just went with the m1 but because of the hover on the m2, it is incredibly useful for me as an artist. Still using the ipad pro 10.5 inch so looking forward to upgrade!

I’m sticking with my M1 iPad Pro, Magic Keyboard and pencil. This si my daily driver, I use it for work and home. Not replacing this until Apple drops support for it

I went with the M1 iPad Pro 12.9” as a replacement for my 2016 iPad Pro 9.7”. Saved $350 vs. comparable M2. The 12.9” is a beast: practically a different product category. But that screen is gorgeous, and I plan on doing photo work on it.

I decided to upgrade from my M1 iPad Air to the M2 Ipad Pro just for the performance bump and mini LED display (and HDR capabilities). However, if I had the M1 iPad Pro to begin with instead of the iPad Air, I would not have.

I’m using a 2018 iPad Pro and it still feels incredibly powerful. Don’t think I’ve ever managed to made it slow down yet
