I don't mind how it hangs back a bit every now and then, for me that gives the footage some variety of perspective. I planned to finally do some flying and tracking testing today but the rain postponed my plans. So here I am watching these lol I still like the Flip more than the Hovers because I could use it as traditional drone via controllers and capture things the traditional way too. Thanks

I just wanted a cheap drone with a good camera, don’t need to track of anything. Just fly slow above the flat fields and I was given a flip, and I am happy with it. Simpel, nice camera and fits in my camera bag.

Man I still have no idea what to get! I don’t bike much, I’m more trail run and hikes. I wanted this one for the ease and image quality at the beach, SUP, etc… but now I’m unconvinced

Ive got one couple of days ago, yea the obstacle avoidance is not existent, I crashed so many times but luckely the drone is still fine. This definelly need "gimbal recenter" button on top of the drone. But the follow mode in open spaces is pretty good, also the camera is pretty good as well. So I think this drone have its place, as mini 4 pro without obstacle avaidance, keeping in mind its limitation its a good option.

In my experience, the flip has great video quality and is brilliant for tracking/following in open spaces. The Hoverair X1 Pro doesn’t have as good video quality but is much more reliable (which is not saying much) when there are obstacles e.g. walking through a wooded area. The Neo is noisy, has average video quality, but is fun when flying fpv with goggles. You can’t fly the flip fpv but it does connect to the RC2 to fly like a cinematic drone, with some limitations. I haven’t tried the hoverair with its remote control yet but I hear the signal isn’t great and cuts out. The flip is a bit too big too.

Hey, thanks for the video! After the flip crash, do you think the issue was with the gimbal? Could you let us know what exactly happened when you send it back or if they tell you what broke?

Also, I saw on eBay that there are gimbal protection covers you can use for the Flip while flying. Do you think those would be useful?

Hi, Ray and greetings from sunny Almere! I've been interested in getting a drone for cycling but the crashing issue has always put me off. You say you've killed it - does that mean it's x-hundred euros down the pan or is it fixable? Which would you see is the most reliable drone?

2:30 the Flip doesn't "see" anything as you pointed out so winter/summer branches wouldn't matter, right?
