Brain drain is a big issue in Malaysia and many of us don't acknowledge it enough. What more, we always compare ourselves to our neighbouring country --- Singapore; thinking we can never be like them or be 'better' than them. So, I did to ask YB Syed Saddiq what could be done better here in Malaysia.

[UPDATE] Hi guys, many of you are asking us why so short. So we decided to put the full uncut interview as a podcast!

Special thanks to YB Syed Saddiq for taking his time to talk to me. Who should we interview next? Let us know!

As a Singaporean I admire this guy, I just hope he is safe and sound from his political opponents...

As a Singaporean, I have mad respect for Syed Saddiq, he is passionate to serve his country, well spoken, speaking through fact and humble. If he gets the opportunity to be the prime minister of Malaysia in the future, Malaysia will be in good hands.

As an outsider, this guy does make a lot of sense. Much more impressive than most politicians I've seen here.

As a Singaporean student, I really appreciate the governments effort in providing technology and devices to students. I’ve seen first hand that most of my friends really utilise the devises and it really benefited them a lot. I wish that Malaysia will have more people like Mr Syed Saddiq, I really believe he is doing it for the better of Malaysia. Hopefully Malaysia will be guided to the right direction!

I'm Singaporean and haven't been in touch with Malaysian politics but historically it seems that their politics seems hopeless with all the corruption etc. However, after coming accross this video and listening to Syed Saddiq I feel there's hope again for our brothers and sisters in Malaysia. Hope he gets to implement his ideas and policies.

As a singaporean malay i agree 💯 on what he says. Quality education is key to malaysia success. I feel for malaysians who struggle daily to come in and out of Singapore just to have a comfortable life in malaysia. Malaysia has so much to offer to its people. Its fine to have the bumiputra rights in malaysia but the malaysian government needs to look on the needs of lower income minorities they are also citizens of malaysia and will fight for malaysia no matter what. Give the man a fish and he can eat a meal but teach a man how to fish and he will have food his whole lifetime

Singaporean here (born in KL and majority of family members are still in Malaysia). This is so refreshing and honestly open! If only there are more MPs like him in Malaysia. What would or could Malaysia have been now..with such rich natural resources and

So refreshing for a politician to make sense and daring to point out the obvious. Thanks for using your platform to give these ideas the publicity they deserve in the midst of a very noisy and shallow, drama-driven media environment in malaysia

This should have been a 1-hour interview. I’m pretty sure he has a lot more to say. Love this!

Also speaking from an UM alumni perspective. After form 5 SPM in December, I waited and got spm result after 2 months. And another 2 months wait before getting into matriculation and studied for one year. Thereafter waited for 4 months again before going to UM. Then every single semester we have a gap of at least 2 months. N we had 8 sems in total. Imagine how much time lost in between. That's why public uni students are much older compared to private u.should definitely look at that too

This video needs to be dubbed in multiple languages and be sent to every Malaysian.. I totally agree to overhauling our education system.. I hope one day he gets the chance to spearhead the change in our education system.
