Nations like Malaysia is not a meritocracy...it's based on race and religion.

92.5% of those who emigrated were non muslim professionals. The reason is in short they were non muslims or what the malays called as pendatang ( immigrants) or Kafirs or Type C or Type I. Many non muslim students who scored all A's were not given entrance into public universities therefore have to enter private universities and jobs overseas.

Eventhough I am a Malaysian, I am still proud of being a Malaysian. However, traveling and working abroad have made me look at things in a wider perspective. Life is about learning new things everyday.

Thanks to Msia race based policy. Msia is the only country that invests in education but her graduates are employed by other countries.

One thing you miss is that some Chinese descendants have been in Malaysia longer than some Malays. There are 2 category of Malay - Melayu Jati and Melayu Dagang (those considered Malay but not ethnic Malay). Some Chinese have been here longer than the latter category.

I have got a few Indonesian Muslim friends. And they openly said that their ancestors are Hindus until Islam came into their shores. They never forget their roots.

This video is missing the point altogether.
The Malays are not the indigenous people of this country. They are also migrants like the Chinese and the Indians. The original people, "real bumiputra" are the Orang asli tribes in Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak.
It's the Malay Ultra elites politicians who have indoctrinated the Malays to believe that they are the original people of this land causing the divide so that they continue to rule and plunder the resources of this land. Main culprit is the Mamak kutty who is not even a Malay. 😢
In my childhood days in the early 60's, there is no problem between the races and we play and mingle with everyone. We can even walk into each others houses and share meals with no problems and respecting each others religions and cultural values.

Malaysia became independent in 1957. That's almost 70 years ago! Stop blaming the Brits FFS! Singapore had much the same British colonial legacy re. socio-economic disparities between ethnicities, but has become one of the richest countries in the

As an Iraqi, I am noticing that Malays possess a racist/fascist attitude.
Malaysia has now developed and the Malays have left abject poverty, I think the time for affirmative action is over.
Now that the native Malays have food to eat and rolves over their heads, they won't benefit from taking away opportunities from other races. Rather, they'll benefit more from a growing economy which is a result of the other races being encouraged to stay and work.

The worse about Malaysia is they try to teach other countries about human rights.

Every time government officers arrested for corruption it would be 100% malays. When bank officers arrested for financial scandal, it would be all malays. Government contractors involved in corruption are malays, politicians involved in all kinds of money scandals are malays. Even lecturers, head of schools and education officers arrested for corruption are malays. The hundreds of billions swindled by politicians are malays..

Islam came from middle east.
Till the 15th century, that is till Islam came to Malaysia, the Hindu emperors Majapahit, Ayudhya and Shrivijay ruled for 1500 years.

I'm all in with the equal rights but the minorities would rather keep their children separated from mingling with other races at early age than to allow for them to assimilate and actually learn to live in a diverse community. As you mentioned, Chinese dominated the retails and businesses. Therefore, they have the power to priorities their own people when it comes to employment. Even if Malays, Chinese, and Indians are employed in the same company, eventually the Chinese are more likely to get more raise and bonuses compared to the other two. Not to mention that Chinese will always be given the biggest chance at climbing up the corporate ladder compared to Malays and Indians. This is the true reality of Malaysia.

Actually with the weak ringgit, if you are smart and able, you would naturally want to make your money overseas and then come back to retire cheaply in Malaysia just like MM2H foreigners do.
