What we need to be educated on is how your boss should speak to you. We need more employee empowerment especially in the face of horrible bosses who think that they can bully, belittle and berate their way to the top and take all of the credit.

Oh I misread the title as "How to take down your boss". I watched the whole video, eager to gain that knowledge, and then noticed that I was wrong lol Well, it was fun anyways lol

TED Talk, I appreciate your help.

I followed your advice & Iʼm now unemployed with $100, 000 in debt. Thank you so much.

I usually read the comments to prepare myself for the Talk ( or to exit)
I actually think this is a really really good talk, and not what most of the comment section imply. I guess the majority have already learned what I did not know :)

Great presentation. Loved the way Peter told his stories and shared a wealth of experience on how communication is so key not only what is being said but also how its delivered.

Lol! Ok, I'll be 60 soon, I can dance through all of office from outlook folders that mail files itself based on sender and which email it came through to creating access databank, charts & graphs in PowerPoint of course word and interlocking spreadsheets that feed into another spreadsheet in excel. I still have the newest of all offices that I subscribe to on my note 9 phone, my tablet, (surface Pro) and laptop. Lol I started with DOS, first windows I saw was 3.1. So don't count out every older person using technology. Many of us got in on it when computers were the size of a room!

I’ve had to do the same thing when meeting a new eager professional (regardless of age) for the 1st time. Slow down! Let’s find some commonalities before we dive into the good stuff.

To anyone with an brain, it’s simple. Just be honest, humble, and put others before yourself. And also, a corny joke is literally the worse way to start an presentation, and trying to keep them awake.

It's doesn't matter work is work, when you accidentally see your boss eating out of the trashcan it's not of your business at all
