They used to have it swing like star fury but they made it not swing, which kinda defeats the "melee" aspect of the weapon.

Kinda shows how removing the swinging literally just makes most melee weapons magic or ranged, which is why I like the direction of the ark and biome blade line

late game calamity melee has always been a "no-mana-mage" imo. i hope late game melee will have more weapons maybe a little similer to the new ark of the cosmos

Mage: uses magic
Summoner: uses summons
Ranged: uses projectiles

Melee: magicly summons projectiles

Melee is already just higher DPS and Armour Ranger, why not give it a mage weapon while we're at it. It also sort has rogue in the paladins hammer upgrades.

This is what absolutely hate about Melee weapons, especially being a Melee enthusiast.

This is just a step further as to how stupid and absurd it is, i mean imagine the Terrablade just shooting beams without the swinging, almost no one uses it for Melee especially on “Bosses”

The whole calamity community is just a fricking hive mind at this point
Same happend with malice mode, everyone was saying how bad master mode is and is just a stat increase and malice did the same

You know what they also need to do? Make The Final Dawn a melee weapon, its another Yharon drop that does the wrong type of damage. I mean the thing acts 100% like a true melee weapon that for some reason does rogue damage?
