Ive just moved back home to the UK and want to import my Corvette, only quote i got was £6600 per year... thanks for this info i can now look into these aswell and hopefully get a better quote!
The 6600 per year is ridiculous, but it seems to be because im on EU licence, and a 25 year old insuring a 5.7L V8... but in Sweden i only paid 155£ per year to insure it!

Anyone ever done a quote with a roll cage, harness, fire extinguisher, better suspension and better brakes, welding the body together? Basically stripping a 1.6 - 1.8L hatchback to make it resemble a rally car with only two bucket seats but wanting to drive it normally with 8k mileage per annum?

Really need answer for this. I had minor accident last January which was my fault. I hit other vehicle. Mine had a scratch and other vehicle had a little dent on the side. I got an email from my insurance that they claimed for £5000. And also after 3 months they again said they made a personal injury claim. I got shocked... So i said to my insurance company to send me the copy of the claim that they made. But my insurance company refused saying it has sensitive information. So what do u have to say about this? Is my insurance company lying to me?

What are people putting down as their voluntary excess on a quote? Is it right that increasing your excess will reduce the premium?
