I have the Qiyi brand plastic version. It fits snugly when all the pieces are assembled. The locking piece needs to be twisted to lock the puzzle. Wooden versions tend to be loose unlike the plastic ones.

my puzzle is slightly different, as all three of the longer pieces are identical. Still fits together the same way but it's harder to hold since there's that extra gap in the center.
