Excellent video. Was watching the survivor TV show and got curious about how to solve sliding puzzles. Improved my ability very quickly after watching this video and afterwards praticing a little bit on a puzzle site. Once you get a hang of it the method makes it very easy. Solved the biggest sliding puzzle on the site, 10x10 in 18 min using the method.

The more you do the 8 puzzle the easier it gets. I know because when I first tried the 8 puzzle I thought it's too hard, it's ridiculous to be this complicated and it sucks! Not now. I started with 4 algorithms and didn't consciously memorize them. Had to read them off the paper. Then something "clicked" and I can get it in about 30 secs. Don't give up !!! 👍👍👍
