Learn how you can buy a project car for less than the cost of a new cell phone! Project cars are great for learning how to fix a car and when you are "done" (project cars are never done), you can be proud to drive the car you fixed up!
In this series eBay Motors challenged me to buy a 24hr endurance race car for the 24hrs of Lemons race series. The car I chose had to be fast, reliable, and under $500!

Dude...you are so god damn likable. That "select your driver" thing was amazing.
On days like today, I just queue up random videos you've made and try to absorb as much knowledge as I can as I start my journey into being self-sufficient with my cars.
Little things like that just make the experience that much more enjoyable!! Love it. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching.

Chris's enthusiastic energy makes fixing cars seem like a walk in the park. Smh it took me 3hrs to replace my ignition c. and sparks alone.

I’m a tire tech and I would recommend the continental Xtreem contacts they are aggressive street tire, sticky on the track and where well. They have a tread where of 500-600. AA on traction. A on temp and W speed rating which good for about 160 mph. 👍🏻

The livery should be like your “Soapy wooder bottle logo”

I thought it was really cool that he had a regular guy at the end who was also going to be helping. It just goes to show that you don’t have to do really awesome things for a living to have fun. Way to go Chris keep up the good work.

I got a 2005 BMW 325i for 2k. It was misfiring, but the body was clean, a few manageable dings and scratches, botched interior, but it was practically rust free. Rare for a used car in my area, so it was a big win. 2 blocks after driving it from the buyer upper radiator hose blew. Had to walk an hour around the city to find a replacement, and use the tools of a friendly old guy to get her going.

I knew going in it was going to be a lot of work to make it reliable. So far, I've rebuilt the vanos, replaced the coil packs, sparkplugs, coolant lines, exhaust intake boots, mass airflow sensor, fuel injectors, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, thermostat, water pump, and flushed and replaced all the fluids.

It was frustrating, painful, and freaking awesome.

2:47 “You only have $500 (for purchase and repairs).”

5:20 “Here’s the eBay listing.”
*Me seeing that the seller wants $2000
“How’s ChrisFix going to get this car for less than $500?”

6:43 “ We met ‘half way’ at $1100.”

🤨

"we met halfway at 1100$" sounds like a shrewd negotiator.

This is honestly a very great way for somebody to learn how to work on cars. Just follow thee videos while tearing a car apart, do the race, then expand on your knowledge by learning how to build it back up but in your own way.

Your passion is contagious yet I don’t even own a car. Was initially looking at rust repair for a first cheap car I’ll get from a friend. This is great content. Good job!
