The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore was struck by a container ship early Tuesday, causing it to collapse and sending multiple vehicles into the water below. At least two people have been rescued, but "upwards of seven" could still be in the water, officials said.

Personally I believe every large ships should be guided through large bridges by tug boats to prevent this in my opinion

technically the bridge was seriously under supported, if one pillar gets knocked out and the thing collapses its a weak flawed design....1-2 of the pillars should be able to be knocked out and it should still stand...if a bridge is so dependent on one single pillar to support it it is a bad design
