Fun fact: Asteroids and meteors hit Earth all the time. Earth also has a savior. Jupiter, he collects some asteroids as either a moon or just force it into the surface (where it wil sink). So thank Jupiter for not causing us to go extinct. Some asteroids Jupiter catches could destroy humanity

Earth does have a substantial atmosphere, so relatively small meteoroids would probably burn up in the atmosphere. Not so sure about asteroids though since they can be pretty big.

Also wondering if Mars will hit Earth in their asteroid dodgeball game 🤔
