This past week saw a barrage of SpaceX Starship news in the wake of Elon Musk's Starship presentation! We saw the reveal of Raptor 2, a brand new official render that showcased an interesting layout for a future starbase, and much more! Elsewhere, Ingenuity completed another successful martian flight, OneWeb completed another launch, SpaceX lost 40 starlink satellites to a geomagnetic storm, and Astra's Rocket 3 encountered a mission failure.

Enjoy! I've been doing a lot of work on my Patreon page - I've given it a face-lift and made some nice emblems for the tiers! I've also finally sorted out a way to get Patreon supporters early access to videos - starting from this video, which was available yesterday for both channel members and patrons!

I'd actually really like some feedback from Patrons. Did you get any ads when watching the Patreon video? I've set it up to not be monetised, but I'm aware that YouTube will sometimes still put ads on anyway if creators do this. Please comment on the Patreon post if you got an ad, ESPECIALLY if it was a mid-roll ad (i.e. takes place in the video, not at the start/end).

Many thanks 🙂

There actually is a really good reason to have the starships so close together; it looks fucking cool

If interplanetary travel is to become the norm in the future I appreciate them putting the launch towers this close together. It gives a "we are pretty sure this won't explode" kinda vibe.

Matt: why have the towers so close together?

Me: see, if you’ve ever played Mars Horizon then you’d know that the layout of Starbase add +2% payload reliability.

It's been a long time since we last saw the cat. I'm hoping we'll be seeing a lot more of the cat this year. Go ISRO. 🙏 🇮🇳

Hey Matt, love your builds. and I have an Idea I am simply not capable of doing myself. Make the spice collectors from dune either a copy from the movie or your own idea of them. would be so cool having a massive rover on duna and then have a deployable collecting unit to pick it back up to either orbit or another location on duna. could be a chance do use the ore scanner again. Love your work!

Considering how they showed a massive greenhouse on the surface of Mars, which isn't really feasible with the lethal amounts of radiation that would be seeping in along with the sunlight and, to a slightly lesser extent, threat of a space rock turning it into an open air art piece, I think that a lot of the stuff shown in the SpaceX animation was chosen for primarily artistic purposes.

Update for everyone within the last 3 or 4 hours is that the FAA has been delayed again until the 28th March now.

With the towers close together like that, the two mechazillas can play patty cake during off hours.

When Matt showed the raptor engine firing I felt the rumble in my chest!

Agree with you Matt, towers very close together and cant think of a particular benefit to doing so.
Anyway, im mainly just commenting to tell the YouTube algorithm to plug you more. Love the vids. Deeply grateful to you for the time and effort you put into these. I hope Youtube gives you one of those placards that some youtubers seem to have, and plenty of YouTube money for your work. All the best from Japan ^~^
