Looks awesome, but I have a 400 Genesis and it’s hard to reconcile the $299 price point when a stand alone is $400.

I can get a better stand alone flat grill for the same price as the griddle insert. Plus after feeling like I'm going to get ripped off. I'm gonna garbage the weber grill just for the bloody fact the company thinks it's okay to charge its customers for an insert the same amount as a new weber grill. Screw you weber.

Weber gas grills don't get hot. You can't sear anything. Not sure why they're so popular unless you grill hamburgers and dogs.
