Here are the UK's general election headlines for Monday, 24 June.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said he is not aware of any other Conservative candidates being investigated by the gambling commission in connection with allegations of betting on the date of the UK’s general election.

Labour leader Keir Starmer said the Conservative Party investigation into the betting allegations were designed to “knock the story into the long grass” until after the election.

The UK's main political parties have “ducked” addressing stark choices over public finances in their manifestos, a leading think tank has warned.

The Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) has launched its 2024 election manifesto.

SNP leader John Swinney has said Brexit is doing “colossal” damage to the UK’s and Scotland’s economy.

The co-leader of the Greens has defended the scale of his party's tax plans, calling them "fairly modest" by European standards in a BBC Panorama interview.

Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey has pledged to address dangerous NHS wait times in A&E.

When Sunak says that he is not aware of any more gambling offenders in his party, what he means is either that he has successfully covered it up or he is so inept that he simply hasn't got a bloody clue.

This betting scandal sums up the party, any chance to make a quick buck is taken whilst we all struggle with food and bills.

For all the Britons out there, for your kind information: there is no significant difference between the Tory and the Labour party.

Why doesn’t the media raise that MP, s should be criminally charged for lying to the public and parliament?

What is the point of voting if politicians lie, miss lead the house of parliament and allowed to go away with it? If the government is not honest in its dealings on behalf of the voters they should be held accountable, media never raise that questions. Their example of behaviour is a fine example to the voters to follow

What i find perturbing is the attitude the bbc seem to have that on 2 parties are in the ball park. Sure, they do occasionally see fit to include other parties, butt it is hardly a balanced opinion imo and as such not impartial.

There is one reason for most of the cost of living problems and that is the fact that the Gov't lost control of our gas prices. North Sea gas was originally a Gov't project and the Conservatives moved in and just could not help themselves. They gave away so-called concessions to benefit their wealthy shareholders pals and friends who run pension funds. So they lost control of the economy due to their own greed. The North Sea oil and gas was there for EVERYBODY and not just their pals. They have to go.
