Voters go to the polls in historic UK election | General Election 2024

There are just hours left for people to vote for the UK's next parliament.

Polling stations close at 10pm - when exit polls will give us an idea of who'll be running the country for the next few years.

For the first time in a general election, voters have to show photo ID to cast their ballot.

But, delayed postal votes aside, it appears to be passing off smoothly.

The media and the 'establishment' have done a reasonable job in making public support for reform seem taboo. There are some brave people who declare their support despite the fear of being branded racist but many wont be public with their support.

My 19 year old grandaughter travelled from Cardiff to her home in LLannelli just to vote Reform then returned. She says loads of youngsters voting Reform. Channel 4 is out of touch
