I think many ENTJs around the age of 18-19 realize they are on another level compared to their peers. This realization seems to be the key to their life trajectory and propels them to go their own way. The ones I've met all live alone for efficiency as they cannot tolerate distractions and work comes first always.

Great video! As an ENTJ female, I felt like I have been stuck in my tertiary function Se for a long time. Always anxious to achieve but sitting back and thinking about the best steps to execute it. Wonderful video!

ENTJ female here. I had a hard time - as you said - getting past the idea of what an extrovert is initially. But I thought back to when I was younger and I think we DO have a craving for people even if it's not what people think of as a traditional wild party 'extrovert' type but that people are our root motivation. Follow me for a moment here. What drives us? What motivates us? Sure, we want to be the best, the brightest, the one to get things done when no one else can. But why? I'm not motivated by a pat on the head so much as personal pride in what I can do but also I have a driving desire to help others. The more money I have, the more I can give. The more I can provide. The more I can care for others. The better I am at what I do, the more money I can make, and the more I can give. As far as living alone goes, I can't do it. I did it when I was young and I wanted to jump off a cliff. However I'm with you on distractions. I have four children, four dogs, a husband, and soooo much noise. I work from home and I want to rip my ears off sometimes. But at the same time, they remind me of why I strive. Before I had someone to work for I was really lost. I had a lot of ambition but little follow through. I worked hard but I could just as easily fall into a depressive shadow state. Having a family has helped keep me focused and out of the shadows. I just had to find the right man to be my partner. My husband is an INTP. He's a bit quirky and when he tells a story it never has a conclusion (frustrating). But when we went on our first date we talked for 8 hours. We went from dating to married in less than 6 months and we've been married for 16 years. He lets me lead the way but he also has a strong work ethic (pretty grounded for an INTP). We need the right partner to make us complete. We need a family to give us something to live for and keep us going. We need to work smarter, not harder. Usually not a problem until we insist on killing ourselves with 60+ hour workweeks. I work 30 hours a week from home and I am satisfied with stepping away and letting someone else deal with owning the business. After years of going over the top, I'm okay with that. Can I relax and play? No. But I'm not working myself to death so that's something. There's plenty to do at home that is also work. Hope this helps the rest of you.

Very interesting and accurate. I met an ENTJ that is so warm, gentle, intuitive, yet very work driven and goal achieving. Loved your take on this personality ❤

I passed as an INTJ, but I shared some similar traits of an ENTJ. You might be right, some ENTJ are not loud and I'm like that and don't mind being the center of attention at work.

My little brother(who is also my best friend) is an ENFP and I'm an ENTJ. Between us; we both acknowledge how we feel more introvert than extrovert, but we hardly notice how comfortable we are with our ability to converse and communicate with others naturally.

It's only once we reached our mid-20s and shifted into our mid-30s that we began to see this flaw.

The old stereotype of trusting no one over 30 makes sense to me now. It's because we understand our folly. Those under 30 can't see it yet.

I'm only 35. I'm still relatively young. After 30; you see the truth.

Youth is wasted on the young.

Have fun, but be smart. Don't waste your time. Accomplish you!

The difference between an ENTJ and an INTJ is that ENTJs want to be the one on stage, while INTJs want to be behind the curtain.

I choose to stay quiet by choice as I see conversations with most people are pointless. It's so shallow and boring. I also can tell how driven n motivated you are within a few minutes. Basically when I lived in the hood I stayed to myself cuz all those convos sucked😆 It's super rare to find someone that has a similar mindset like me.
🌻 Comical ENTJ

Interesting video! Ever since getting involved in MBTI, I've found myself trying to type characters in books and movies. One recent read was The Tatooist of Auschwitz. I think the main character, Lale, is an ENxJ. The book is based on the experiences of Lale Sokolov during the Holocaust and I would definitely recommend it.

As an ESTJ I really relate with mistyping as an introvert. Most Te Dom's mistype themselves as introverts.

I think Benedict C. has played 2 roles that each exemplify the difference between an INTJ (me) and an ENTJ.

He played Sherlock 🕵️‍♂️ and that is a classic *INTJ* in his performance: highly intelligent (genius level), cold, calculating, arrogant, high levels of internal morals and willingness to stick to them, pragmatic, elusive, doesn’t really care for fame but likes to be considered an expert at what he does, difficulty in relationships—but again strong bonds to those he considers himself ‘close to’ and will do anything to protect them, gets on peoples nerves for his ability to somehow always be right, mind palace, etc.

His *ENTJ* Doctor Strange performance: also intelligent but *WANTS* to be recognized by others for it. Need to showboat his ability, much of his identify is in what he can DO and how well he does it, talks with an arrogance that assume others are beneath if (INTJ’s arrogance is from assuming people can’t figure anything out, subtle difference). Suppression of emotional connections to others, thinks they’re smarter than everyone else when in fact they don’t alway have the best plan (scene where he thinks the spell is a good idea and then it turn into a Inception chase and not such a good idea 💡), etc.

So as you can see he’s played 2 roles that when you look at them closely really do show the difference between the 2 types.

so for two years i was depressed and wasnt really sure what mbti is cause those were the days my friend (INTJ)m introduced me to mbti and i really didnt know i was depressed, so i took the test and got intp, i had wacky behaviour but i knew that some years ago i was an entj like 100% sure, but after some time when i got well and my depression left i made my mother read bout mbti and stufff she read em all and even gave the test by her side for my mbti and typed me as an entj . But my intj friend denies me being entj she is like you are an intp who was entj and who is slowly turning into entj (n i many times got typed as an entp, probably entp more than intp more more entp ), but my mother argues with intj's statement that i am an intp, what do you think ? And yes my function stack is stable for Te Ni but my Fi and Se function changes quite a lot my last two functions are of an entps .( Fe Si )
