3 Reasons NOT to Install Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 App

Last year Cloudflare released their 1.1.1.1 DNS. Recently they put out a 1.1.1.1 app for android and ios. Today I have 3 reasons not to install Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app. If you don't know what the Cloudflare DNS is or what it does, it essentially becomes the phonebook for your internet, but it much quicker at find the site and unlike your internet service provider they won't sell the information they would get from it.

You need to change the Tunnel type. It defaults to Split in the app. Just change it to full tunnel & change the Encryption to DNS over TLS. That will make it faster, more secure & it works. Private dns is a nightmare for my oneplus 6. When I change from WiFi to mobile data, it takes ages to connect. Once I turned it off it was great

My chrome dns is broken. So i decided to used alternative option examples DNS application settings that can allow me to access those websites that says " site, cannot be reached". I started to install this kind of application when the 1st moment I used it, the sites cannot be reached is suddenly now can be accessible. But i tried safe option as changing chrome's dns. Can someone answer significantly that is using this kind of option is safe to our data and privacy?.

My issue with 1.1.1.1 is that WiFi calling stopped working on my iOS devices. Not sure if this is gonna be fixed, but it makes it a no go in my house

Does this DNS unblock U.S Netflix, hulu, At&T tv now, sling tv, prime video and disney+ ?
I use a paid dns that unblocks all these 100% and fast. I'm wondering if this dns bypasses Geo restrictions if I'm living outside the U.S. Let me know pls!

The one thing that is a plus by using the App instead of entering it yourself in the settings is that the App works on both WiFi and cellular service, entering 1.1.1.1 in settings works only when connected to WiFi.

First of sir if you change the dns on the router side then you do not have to go to every wifi enabled device and change the dns the router routes all traffic through whatever dns you set it to.

Added the Warp 1.1.1.1 App on my iPhone and iPad several months ago. It seemed to work quite well initially. We upgraded our Xfinity ISP to 1G speed for internet. Found that my router was not able to handle those speeds especially for WiFi. Ordered a RAX70 NetGear router. Hooked it up and it was up and running pretty quickly. Did some checking regarding DNS settings on the router and picked three DNS that seemed to give excellent results. Once I did that I began to see that my iPhone and iPad were not working very well on WiFi now. Lost connection to the internet at times and while testing speeds using Ookla Speedtest the WiFi was slow much of the time compared to 1G being paid for. I finally decided to further troubleshoot the devices and deleted Warp 1.1.1.1 app from them and everything began to work very nicely again. Perhaps there were conflicts with the App and the new DNS I picked. Not sure.

Dns are for internet domain search do not use for local adresses.. It's like proxy you don't use it for local adresses
