This is a GPIO based LCD screen for pi which is easy to be install , all you have to do just plug the screen to the GPIO pins and power up your pi. Then you will find your lcd is nit working , there is only white screen. To fix the white screen problem you have to connect your HDMI monitor to pi and you have to put some codes in the terminal.

After installing the LCD you will not be able to get the display on the monitor , in my video i am also showing how to get display back to the monitor from LCD.

🎤 Audio in this video is recorded with Rode NT-USB

Hope you like to learn the installation process , thanks for watching my video guys. If you have any questions please ask in the comment section and if you are new to my channel please subscribe my channel for more tech tips.

thankyou very much. For those wondering the old Waveshare Rev A screens work with this. Thank you from Australia! I used to battle with these TFT screens years ago when they first came out!

Pro tip: enable ssh before uploading this code and make sure you connect your pi with a network before uploading this code, if something goes wrong and u aren't connected to wifi or not enabled ssh then you'll have to format your sd card .

Just installed in my RPI4 without problems. Really simple. I was afraid to loose the VNC desktop connection, but fortunately it still works. Thanks for all!

If you're using the 3.5inch RPi LCD (A) V3 480x320 Pixel XPT2046 Touch controller;

The file should contain the following values;

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "calibration"
MatchProduct "ADS7846 Touchscreen"
Option "Calibration" "3936 227 268 3880"
Option "SwapAxes" "0"
EndSection
