After carefully comparing across several listening sessions and days, I've concluded that both sound excellent and are within a few fractions of percentages to each other. Preamp A is 1/2 hair more analytical, with a sliver of extra reach at the extreme slopes (5:30-5:35), and is probably best suited to tubed systems, whereas B is 0.875 hairs wider in the mid section, with a soft touch of rolloff on extended highs, making it velvety and relaxed, which probably sounds better on solid state systems.

For Me and my setup A have biger sound stage and image is more large but not detailed, B is more detailed more precise and in the top end is more crispy.
For me and my setup is beter A because i have titanium tweeter and B is to much high ; ) Thank you for make us more to enjoy in music while we search the details and keep going with Comparison i love it

B actually has better dynamics and depth, but also is slightly more smeared/hazy in the bass and a little rolled off in the top end. The tonal balance of A was actually more to my preference despite it not having quite as much dynamic contrast. If B had the same tonal balance as A, I'd take B all day, but if I could only have one, I would take A for the overall sound profile.

Very close, want to pick.... I choose A: midrange vocal and high (could be a bit bright on some music)maybe changing different niddle cartridge will balance it

A is more compressed... B has better instrument separation and has a wider soundstage. 3D imaging is more prominent in B. If A is the RS2, then the RS2 is a downgrade and not an upgrade. If B is the RS2 then it is the better option and worth upgrading to in my opinion. THANKS HIFI for another great video!

This is a close one, I think and I guess the favourite for anyone will depend on what you're looking for. I only heard the first sample, since I find it hard to compare without OTF switching when the sound is so close, through a video on YouTube.

From the first sample only, I found A is more musical, while B is more analytical. I could feel the groove with preamp A, but felt that the music lacked some body with preamp B even though there was greater separation. I'd never decide which one to buy without further testing of course, but preamp A sounds better to me.

Thanks for doing this, always love these!

For me A is clearly the better; more open, less damped, better decay, more dynamical..altough in the last two songs became less evident for me.

Like 👍🏻!

For me, these are extremely close. I tend to prefer A, by the tiniest of margins. I'll probably never see the "reveal." Since there's an $800 difference between these two preamps, the cheaper RS would be my choice. Heard alone, I don't think I'd miss whatever additional properties the RS2 provides -- if, indeed, that is the "better" of the two.

Great comparoson Francisco, B takes the music in its stride A feels more forced and unnatural

B is warmer and less sibilant. I prefer B hands down.

It is difficult to choose between the two until the Baby Elephant Walk. A is very bright and to my ears uncomfortable, so B has it, just. The Audio Technica is known for being open and clear. Good music though.

Tonality of A seems a touch "flatter/smoother"?

Difficult to choose...but let's vote for the"A" option!

B sounds more natural. What’s the name of the secondary channel?

B Has so much more separation. Some instruments sound closer to you.
