Whenever I think my truck is slow. I just remember this video.

Definitely a big difference! Don't let people call you slow and it bother you, pimp mobiles don't gotta be fast😎

It will take several drive cycles for the ECM to adjust for the increased air flow. The improvement won’t be immediate. It makes zero sense that more airflow would make the engine lose power.

You do not need a tune. It’s not a drag truck.

you can feel the loss in power from watching

I can definitely see the difference I will be putting one on my 2012 silverado as soon as I can

The install cut power you can tell by the way the RPM are after shift you get a tune

I feel like to truly see the comparison of the 2 you need to be able to see the throttle input as well.

This is why you put an aftermarket exhaust or muffler to help get rid of the exhaust gases that probs why it seems slower

there’s not going to be a speed gain but you do get a smoother idle and deeper tone

I just wanted to note the truck shifted from 3rd to 4th at 90 m.p.hanf still had all of 4th and 5th amd 6th to go. I have a 2012 crew cab long bed silverado 2500hd with a 6.0 they may not be the fastest but if you do air intake straight exhaust headers and a turbo I bet one of these would do 150 mph. That's moving for an 8, 000 pound truck. I got hollow cats and eliminated the resonator and put on a flowmaster muffler it's litteraly like driving a completely different truck. Next cold air intake and headers, I pull about 15, 000 lbs regularly and it has made a phenomenal difference in mpgs and power

Let's see it where you can see the comparison at operating temperature. Running lean (before operating temp) can augment power output and explain the difference.

It seems like it actually got slower !

that actually made a big difference, what motor and setup you using, sounds like a 3.8 monte

Exhaust needs to be less restrictive if you have factory exhaust, switch it out

Check for an exhaust kit..i think it's pretty risky w.cold air..my mechanic yelled at me.. about going switch.. but. It's a step forward.. nice

They are ALL really missing the point, I think it sounds good, definitely does need a tune to go with it but keep me updated

You're not getting more airflow if you remove the reverberation tubes and boxes that are part of the stock intake duct. Period. Ever heard of intake scavenging which takes advantage of the reverberation of air flow due to the intake valves suddenly closing mid-flow? Factory engineers have been utilizing it since the 80's. An aftermarket intake tube will never be able to perform as well as a factory tuned intake on a stock (not internally modified) engine because those reverberation tubes are a perfectly tuned length (exactly right distance from the intake valve seat) and the reverberation boxes are a perfectly tuned volume for each individual engine. Just because a tube is bigger and can flow more on a bench doesn't mean squat. The engine will only suck in as much air as it needs, it doesn't matter if you put a 10 inch tube on it, it won't increase airflow, but a factory intake that utilizes scavenging (and they all do) will. A stock intake is NEVER a restriction on a stock engine, they have no reason to do that. Power and economy are hugely competitive amongst brands. Believe me.... they are not going to put a restrictive intake on their engines from the factory. If they wanted you to have less power, they'd just give you a smaller, cheaper engine. They're not going to build more engine than they actually want you to use. That would be a waste of money. Factory intake ducts are true cold air (have been since the 80's) and are tuned to utilize scavenging for that particular engine. Do not remove them, ever. Aftermarket crap is too generic and general to be of any any benefit beyond something that had a lot of R+D put into it by professional factory engineers. Don't fall for the snak-oil hype kids.

People have never heard of fear ratios I swear. People’s always like “ItS So SloW” yeah it probably has like a 3.08 gear or something better for too end than take off
