i agree with this, low carb diets i dont do well at all (tried many times) i lose weight every time i tighten up my fat content, and im not talking about Super low fat, just moderate-low fat (prob about still 60-65gr of fat a day, most Americans prob eat double that) so you dont have to have tastless dry food, can still have some fat, just 'tighten' it up and eat more veggies and will see results

I tried keto and not only did I dislike the food limitations (no fruit) but I'd be super hungry at night and end up crashing and ordering doordash. I much prefer low fat (I think of it more as high fiber) diets because my satiation levels are evened out and I dont crash. Whereas before on keto I'd crash and eat 2-3k calories of junk food to get full, on high fiber, I can eat a high fiber bowl of cereal at night and be perfectly satiated. Ultimately, its up to you to decide which is better, but I wish more people knew about alternatives to keto (but then again that wouldn't be marketable).

Don't forget to skip the sugar also if you go low fat.

I personally lost 66 lbs (30 kg) in 8 months without losing any muscle mass and strength. I followed a high fat, low carb diet. Losing weight is incredibly easy if you know what you’re doing 🙂

I understand keto but if you’re a hungry boi like myself low fat is better because you can eat more, I eat carbs from only veggies no breads and starches so I get to eat a lot and still be in a caloric deficit.

Im having to do both.. low fat low carb..so basically just protein and veg.

One thing though.. keto is different from low carb.. the question “is keto or low fat diet better for fat burning” still applys. Best answer is utilizing both, go periods on one then the other. Why? Because they both work, allows for a wider range of food options, and keeps it interesting. Keeps me in great shape

It makes sense. Fat has double the calories compared to carbs and protein, and it's really easy to overeat.

100% agree for the last 6 years I’v been sold a lie about keto and high fat. But SOME fat is good, not in high amounts. Would you put diesel in your car if it runs better on petrol? It’s a thumb size for fat, a deck of cards for protein, a handful of carbs and fibre sparingly and gradually increase to taste.

Fat does not make you fat. Low fat foods are worse than regular. When they take out fat in foods it tastes bad so they add sugar to compensate. Take out sugar instead of fat or carbs. This study seems extremely inaccurate.

Nobody is prioritizing protein??🤷🏾‍♀️ If you strength train and prioritize protein and stick to your caloric intake, it doesn’t matter how much carbs or fat you have.
