You've created everlasting pain 0:06 that hits so hard, and I dont understand why some people defending him, maybe cause they're not the one who lost their love ones in this accident.

People are screaming to give him a second chance. 1st time a innocent child who had many years to come and see the world lost the life at an instant from an useless race and a mother who had many years to see her child's future, to be loved and live happily lost the life for a race between friends for an instant joy . Is it worth to loose 2 lives for a race when it was not even a place to do so . Second time without a punishment, it can be you or your family so he must bear the punishment for what he did . After 24 years he can come to the society and live but those two are forever missing souls.

People who r sayin 24 is too much... think atleast he will b alive.. the toddler dint even get a chance to start a life.

Imagined if any of ur loved one was the victim u wont b saying 24 is too much. He is not sorry for his mistake, he is just amazed that he actually got caught n punished.

Nobody wins in this case. I feel so terrible for the families on both sides. As for the defendant, I’m sure he’s scared and remorseful. I feel for him too.

I just hope these people screaming "SECOND CHANCE" does the same thing to incarcerated black and brown boys. Sadly, they just want to save the pretty boys from jail, the rest can rot in hell.

If i was the dad, he wouldn't have made it to the court, and how dare his mother beg for mercy. She couldn't manage her own son, letting use such expensive car to street race . How dare she is . I have no sympathy for her and her son

It's probably not the justice the husband and father wanted but that young man will be spending his remaining youth in prison. Hopefully this does send a message to street racers.

hopefully this will deter street racing and also cause pedestrians to be more aware of their surroundings aswell. i've seen driver run red lights and stop signs and avoid accidents but i've also seen pedestrians talking on their phones walk into oncomming traffic with drivers having to slam the brakes to avoid them, sometimes you make a mistake and you get lucky and sometimes you don't

He just lost 24 years of hes life, hes families can still see him in the jail and he can come out after 24 years, but the father lost his wife and daughter for the rest of his life, the wife lost her life and her baby, the baby lost her future, 24 years is nothing compared to what the family had face.

When are young people going to learn that the Street is not a race track

If he was the son of George W. Bush, what is justice? Does the law apply only to weak people or to those in power?

Consequence for playing with other people’s lives on public streets. He will have his 2nd chance when he is finished with his sentence. He killed a baby….

Imagine losing your wife and daughter and never being able to see them again bc some arrogant rich 18-year old kid decided it would fun to race at NEARLY 200 MILES PER HOUR and the public literally only caring about a “harsh sentence”… I’ve never seen something like this before it’s literally only bc he’s white and conventionally attractive y’all sympathize with him omg. My heart goes out to the victims not the killer

Honestly 24 years that's not enough
I guess jugde cannot gives more because the young killer is only 18 years old so he will in his 40s and can have life when he be out, but young Mum and baby never will have life
Young Mum was beautiful and baby was just beyond words
I cannot imagine husband and father ever could falling in love again and will have other children 💔
Words cannot express his pain

this makes me sad. and he deserves a lot more than just 24 years. people are only defending him because they find him attractive physically, but you gotta be heartless to not show remorse and only cry when you hear your sentence, not a father and husband who lost his family about to cry. besides the point, of course it was a mustang.

In our country, nobody would have gone to jail. They would have just beat around the bush for decades until everybody forgot.

My mom likes to say it was an “accident”. No. It’s a choice. He CHOSE to get in that mustang and drive 100+ miles an hour down a city street. Everyone should know that driving 100+ miles an hour down a city street is illegal and morally wrong, and also that it can lead to a deadly crash. Enjoy your 24 years in prison Mr. Herrin. Burn in hell
