This was a WONDERFUL film. I just want a 2-hr film of just Buster now.

Don't let this trailer fool you, the movie has some of the saddest scenes I've ever seen, but I have to say it's a masterpiece.

This was a fucking masterpiece. Each section had a different moral of the story to be learnt. The first; don’t be so sure you’ll never meet your match. The second; karma will get you, if not first time around then the second. The third; don’t trust that you’re not replaceable. The fourth; resilience will get you further than taking a shortcut. The fifth; following your heart doesn’t always end in happiness. To me, the sixth and final ties everything together. The stagecoach trip is the journey of life leading to death and you can’t get off, “the coach did not slow”. The three travellers spend the trip conflicting and arguing over their differences while the two bounty hunters, knowing where they’re all going, explain how they enjoy watching others attempting to “navigate the passage” and “make sense of it” before they die. As they reach their final destination, the three become quiet and subdued watching the bounty hunters drag another body inside. They each put aside their previous differences and cautiously enter the destination they all share, and ultimately cannot avoid. As the delusions of life drive us apart, the reality of death brings us together.

I was surprised by this film, thought it would be a western comedy and then its darkness and poignancy blew my expectations away. I was reminded of Tales From the Crypt, and would happily watch more vignette style stories like this. They were entertaining and left me as a viewer pondering the human condition. Excellent work, very artistic, macabre, at times funny, but also quite serious. Thumbs up.
