"Can't no man compel another man to engage in recreation." Wisdom for the ages.

it was a shame to see this character go out so early...
his way of articulation, cheerfull mood and deadly skill deserved a entire 10 episode Netflix series.

I LOVE the foreshadowing in the scene. "It is too late, you have regarded the cards". They tell us right there what is going to happen to Buster after seeing the 'Dead Man's Hand'

Tim Blake Nelson killed this role, the way he portrayed someone who is friendly and warm but is also completely badass is perfect

if only they could have made a whole movie about this fella. could have been one of the greatest western comedies ever.

Clancy Brown has had quite the career. He's played some memorable intimidating characters in some of the most iconic movies ever made, such as Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers. Yet, he also plays the most beloved crustacous cheapskate of all time on one of the most iconic animated shows of all time. Such a great actor

That innocuous hat, his calm, relaxed and friendly demeanour and extensive, almost exhausting vocabulary does not prepare you for the carnage this man delivers, and I love every second of it, he really deserves a whole origin story prequel!!!...

The world would be a happier place if we had a Netflix series of Buster Scrugss based on his everyday life adventures... simple, easy, we all want it, JUST DO IT!!!!

I love that he has such a powerful kick that he turned the gun into a semiautomatic.

For those who doesnt know : thats the cursed "Dead Man's Hand" set of cards, thats why Buster rather not play that hand. Pairs of 8 and aces held by Wild Bill when he was shot at the back of head while pokering.

The actor also acted in "Old Henry" from 2021, which he plays another legendary Gunslinger only revealed at the end; which i will not spoil.

Buster is what an R-rated Bugs Bunny would look like.

Something that always both intrigued me and made me smile. Buster never made it any secret that he, by his own admission, doesn’t always follow the straight n’ narrow. But upon stepping into the saloon, being required by another to hand over his firearms, he didn’t bat an eyelash and complied without a fuss, which to me showed just how confident in his abilities he was to step into a new place not knowing its true colors.

Such a legendary level of badass.

Damn, that takes "Stop hitting yourself!" To a whole new damned level.

What a fantastic shooter. He continued cocking his single action revolver between each shot even after being shot in the head twice!

I love how Tim Blake Nelson played Buster as the most cartoonish yet sociopathic cowboy possible

The writers should have realized this incredible character and just started making a whole new show based on him at least a solid long movie

Something I didn't notice until I watched this clip again - While he's kicking the table, Buster has that same twisted smile on his face as he had during his first set of kills in this segment. He comes off as pleasant, but he genuinely enjoys killing.

I was so disappointed when his story was over. I really wanted to see more about him. The whole movie is great but I love the character of Buster Scruggs.

I also loved Tim in 'Oh Brother, Where Art Thou'. "Hey George, some of your foldin' money's done come unstole." 🤣🤣
