Lucas Oil Stop Leak VS Valve Guides

The valve guides on my John Deere were letting oil seep past and have a smoky start up. Decided to try this stuff.

Lucas is good stuff. Thick as mud! I just did an oil change on my 2005 Chevy Silverado extended cab long bed work truck and added Lucas due to the high mileage and low oil pressure. seems to have helped a lot with it.

We've had good luck with the lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. It gave the 8n some oil pressure. Lol. Never tried the engine stop leak though. Might need that too in the 8n. Lol.

Looks like it worked. Wonder how it is with rear main seal leaks on cars

Been using AT-205 Reseal.
it’s gotten better but still leaks some.

Good, informative video. I was hoping to find someone who has tried that. That's a trick I am going to try on mine.
Just know, one clean start doesn't mean a fix. Mine doesn't smoke at each start-up. Plus it doesn't just do it on the first start of the day, but; when it does smoke, it really smokes big-time.
I don't want to tear mine apart, but I know one of these days I will have to.
13 year old Cub GT1554 27 hp. Kohler Command. Mow 3 acres a week. Bought from a Cub dealer, not from a big-box store. There is a difference in the parts used. And a big plus, I got it for $500.00 less than I would have at the other stores.

Wow! Need to see if this stuff will work in a Kohler Command 15 hp single cylinder that has over 1, 500 hours on it & burns about 10 ounces of oil, it's better than it was, it used to burn about a quart, and the engine's oil capacity is only 1qt.16oz, but it still burns oil, the rings are worn out in it because the prior owner before my grandfather beat the hell out of it, didn't take care of the engine & probably never changed the oil at 50 hours like you're supposed to with conventional oil, if I had to guess, maybe every 125-150, also never changed the air filter, so we changed it, but only after 16 years of mowing grass with a dirty air filter, the pre-cleaner kept as much of it out of the filter as it could, but it was no match for over 1, 500 hours of continuous use when really you're supposed to change them along with the filter every 100 hours, it's just truly appalling how lazy people are.

Will this work with full synthetic or conventional oil what oil is better for a worn valve guide or seal? Thanks

It causes the seal rubber to swell somewhat ..

Oil burning made me burn a valve. Wish I woulda tried this.

I know what's wrong with that riding mower just take that DODGE EMBLEM off and should be good.😀
