Going to try this on mine. It recently started doing the same thing. Changed the fuel filter and the pickup tube in the fuel tank which was very very brittle compared to the new one. No help. It will run fine at full throttle. I also picked up what they call the vapor filter. Have not installed that one yet. I will clean the bowl and vapor filter and report back.
I run 91 octane no ethanol.

If you aren't sure what this thing does you shouldn't be messing with it. It makes the professional that will have to work on it laters job harder.
