great information! My lawnmower wouldn't start, primed the carb. with gas and it would run as long as it had the gas I primed it with. I watched this video thinking the float was stuck in the up position. You showed me how to remove the sediment bowl, when I did that I found there was gas in the bowl. so I pushed down on the gas shut-off needle and it moved hard so I moved it by hand a few times then reattached the wires and operated the day a few times, the needle moved as it should. Reconnected it to the sediment bowl, mower started right up!!!! Thank you!

My John Deere X380 would spontaneously flood at random times, especially when at higher throttle settings. Took the carb apart as much as I could and sprayed a liberal amount of carb cleaner throughout. Fired right back up and looks to be running fine. Thanks for the excellent tutorial.

Great video... Spot on! Totally cleaned out my carb after dirt from removing and cleaning my filter got sprinkled in there a little bit and I had the engine surge start. She is running smooth as butter on my Cub Cadet ZT 1 50 with the Kawasaki FR691V engine! Thank you!

Haven't cleaned a carb in 10 years great refresher! Thank! Also, am I the only one who saw that chunk of mess fly out of the jet when he hit it with the compressed air? :)

This video was perfect, I had a pretty good idea what to expect before I took a screw off. Thank you.

Thanks Brother! Very helpful and I appreciate the time you took to make the video. I’m somewhat mechanically inclined but still I’m not a mechanic. But with your video I learned a lot about this particular engine and carburetor that I needed to know. I was stuck! Thank You! 👍🏽

Never was a fan of the kawasaki until I got one. So yes, they are a good motor.

Hey brother the carb cleaner you sprayed down the fuel nipple with swell or break down the needle seat or the needle tip as well. Do not spray that in anything during cleaning until all rubber and gaskets are removed. This is why we use ultrasonic cleaners with solvents that are gentle on rubbers and gaskets. Simple green or mean green is great. The fuel solenoid you need the be careful with as well there about $100 or close to. We never turn on the body so not to spin the two half’s of the body and brake connection’s inside the solenoid. You need a 1/2 and 7/16 wrench and grind them down so there skinny almost like a grinder nut tool.
The Kawisaki carbs for the most part except for the FH engines have full rebuild kits that includes the Welch plugs for a proper cleaning.

Hi Mike, a big thanks from Brittany, France! My Husqvarna Rider 316TXs AWD (jeez, I hope Google picks that lot up!) was running lumpy and then finally gave up. It has this Kawa engine, so fixed as per but thankfully was able to leave it attached to the motor. SHE RUNS!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Great video. We’re about 5-7 weeks or possibly more out at work besides engine services (not repairs) so I’m gonna see if I can start doing carb cleanings/replacements. I used to have a limit set to where I don’t do anything like that professionally (at/for work) but I’m getting into it now because it’ll cut down a whole lot of our one mechanic’s workload and help certain customers get out sooner. I’m gonna be staying after hours sometimes because we stay busy during opening hours and my primary job is to run the front.

Great video! My encore 34 inch zero turn mower has been stalling for a little while now and it’s been driving me nuts. I figured it could be my fuel lines being clogged or the carburetor since I haven’t given it a good clean in quite some time.

My fr691v was surging terribly. I cleaned the carb and put a kit in it. It still surged. After lots of thrown tools I figured out the Welch plug that covers the clean out for the pilot jet was gone. It was losing internal vacuum. I put a piece of tape over the hole and it fixed it.
