I actually do the opposite. If I know I'm on track with counting calories, I'll weigh myself every month or so. Nice seeing the bigger jumps :) down from 89 to 85.5 since may! Goal is 82

😮No No No !!!! Buy a scale with body fat monitor that shows body fat, muscle and water measurements.
Weigh once a week at same time and note down these measurements.
If you are strength training and gaining muscle then muscle weighs more than fat and your weight may go up !!!!
Also use a tape measure and take fortnightly measurements of bust, waist and hips if female, perhaps just waist for males.
You can buy a Tanita body fat scale fairly inexpensively nowadays and its a great investment 😊

Very interesting video. I personally weigh myself everyday. it's easier to have a smart scale that automatically tracks my weight on an app and I can average out at the end of the week. Highly motivating. Also dirt cheap.

Idk as a woman, weight can fluctuate a lot during the week. That's why I only weigh in every one to two weeks.

I only weigh in once a week. And I actually do it Saturday morning after I’ve worked out for 2.5 hours and did a sauna treatment. So my weight is about as low as it can go. Not super accurate but if you’re consistently doing it that way you’ll see you’re less than you were the week before.

This opinion conflicts with what dietician tells me, and others. But I still weigh either every day or every 2 days. I’d rather have the data so that I can course correct. Even though it can be mentally difficult and discouraging when the scale doesn’t budge down. It depends on the mental tools the individual has. For me after staying at the same weight for two weeks I finally realised that I was having extra calories that I wasn’t counting unknowingly and as soon as I fixed that and refocused my diet I suddenly dropped 2 kg in two days and broke through that plateau, but in the meantime it does mess with you mentally.

I discovered I have a massive issue with my metabolism I thought the digital was broken but others said the same thing. I walked nearly 50k steps ate a 1000 calories a day and gained nearly 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Im annoyed but glad I know why my sxx pack is watery as im nowhere without data. Hate to beg to differ. Its not normal. My thyroids supposed to be normal. It isn't or I have binged way too much and I can't imagine how much that would have been. I ate half of a cake in restaurant and a small ice cream. Half a bread with half a dinner doesn't seem fair.

I don't understand the difference. If I see "I loose on sunday, but be back up on tuesday" I should be more motivated ?
The result of this data serious should be : SOmething is wrong, change diet or activity.

I obsess over my weight when there’s a scale in the house. Weigh myself EVERY TIME I enter the bathroom. Don’t have one!

Let me play devil's advocate, why would "person B" be less discouraged, if the final result is the same?

Get rid of the scale . Notice over time ( trend) how ur clothes feel, are u sleeping better do i feel stronger, energetic ..Scale to me is more damaging than anythg else. It makes most people make poor decisions and go to extremes or give up.

I don't weigh at all because it will make me feel a way I don't like and also my goal is health and fitness not a number!
