I use rinse out conditioner and leave in conditioner and a blow dryer and it turns our fine. No diffuser on the blow dryer though; just the nozzle end piece.

OK, I have medium length, straight, fine hair, and after much dying and dye removal, I found L'Oreal Total Repair 5 protein repair leave-in VERY helpful, from first use and only better over time. I felt that it had repaired my hair. However, next time around, new head of hair, I had trouble removing dye from my hair and read that silicones melted into the cortex prevent proper dye removal, then I read the ingredients on the leave-in, which I had started to use again... silicones. And my conditioner, silicones. I liked the treatment, but I'd love to find a protein treatment that strengthens and smoothes but doesn't contain PLASTIC POLYMER that can melt irremovably into my hair!

I have been a hairstylist for 30 years. I personally shampoo and conditioner my clients, and use the original infusion 23 as a cutting lotion. Weather my client wants to air dry., or get a blow dry, with styling products, the hair looks and feels amazing.

Despite my old pfp, my hair is jaw length. I shampoo once a week. Condition daily.

My hair doesnt get oily or greasy looking. Well at first it did like 2 years ago. But your hair will quickly adapt after a month or so. Cause i used to shampoo daily.

My hair is strong, not really any damaged ends.

Ive been considering a leave in conditioner for the day that i shampoo just to help with frizz.

I've wondered, for us night shower-ers, should we do something with our hair before we go to bed or just let it dry and worry about it in the morning?

So would leave in conditoner be great for people that want to not use conditoner on non wash day. Instead you wash your hair with water. Get out of shower and use a leave in conditoner. Like a very light one maybe like a spray. And use that to detangle hair. Let's say I don't want to style my hair since im taking shower at night and I dont want to put product to blow-dry in my hair to sleep in. Would leave in be great for air drying my hair before bed but not waking up with dry hair.

Isn’t a leave in conditioner just to moisturize your hair ?

I use Cantu leave in conditioner or I would use it as a rinse out conditioner to detangle my hair

Everytime i go to the salon my hair looks so good after. I always forget to ask what they put in my hair after. Its hard to explain but when i leave the salon, my hair is strait and even, every hair strand is free to move on its own, you can literally see every strand of hair as an individual piece rather than just one big group. When i shower the next day and i use conditioner my hair goes back to its natural state(mildly wavy on the ends) no matter how much i brush it i cant seem to get that straight look that the salon gives me. I wonder if they r using a hairspray or leave in conditioner or something. I cant remember bc we and the salon lady are always talking and i forget to ask what products they use on me

I have super fine hair that is often very dry and staticy (length goes 3/4 way to the small of my back) so I don't like to blow dry or "style" it. I use a leave in conditioner but the one I really like has been discontinued. I also tend to dilute it a little bit so it sprays on more evenly. I primarily use the leave in on the middle to lower parts of my hair (from the shoulders down) and sometimes daily between washings to take the static electricity out of it and detangle it. This often brings out soft curls that do not show up at shorter lengths. Are there other (inexpensive) products I should be considering to do the same thing better?

Is it too much to apply conditionner in the shower and then use a leave in conditionner?
